James Stanford reimagines the mid-century iconic Blue Angel, the unofficial patron saint of Las Vegas, as a modern-day version of Botticelli's Birth of Venus. The Blue Angel was designed by Betty Willis, who created the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign, and was inspired by the showgirls of the Stardust, Sands and Dunes.
